Dortmund Football Club are Getting PIMPED

What is happening? Or rather, does anyone actually care? That's the more pressing question, the second one. Is anyone actually bothered that the only rival to Bayern Munich's ridiculous dominance of the Bundesliga are getting their players ripped out from them. Not their bricks, but the very best of their team?

Both Hummels and Gundogan are gone. That's made official and we don't have Doc and Marty McFly to turn back time and change that. That's already bad enough because those are two extremely important players for Dortmund. So already, you're thinking how can they replace those two but then hoping that at least those that are there will have to just step up to the plate and play at an even higher level.

Then it gets worse. Now Aubamayeng and Mkhitaryan look set to take their talents somewhere else, seeing the writing on the wall with all the departures. On one hand, I can't blame them in the sense that how can you expect to compete for titles where at least one of your stars either leaves or is looking to leave every summer? You can't argue with that.

But my goodness. If those two were to leave, then there would be no point in the Bundesliga even taking place. Just give Bayern the title and get it over and done with. It's getting ridiculous now. Having to compete with the might of the machine from Munich is hard enough as it is, but to be weakened while they only get stronger makes it even stupid to even try and think of competing.

It's really sad what is happening to Dortmund, because they were the most entertaining team to watch last season. They played the best football, and Tuchel really raised their game overall and made them a better team from front to back after Klopp's departure. So it would have been great to see Tuchel build upon the great work he did in his first season, whilst seeing what new players would come in to improve the team.

With a possibility of four of his best players leaving, plans of improving are thrown out the window. They can't, and it must be frustrating if you're Tuchel. He has no power to stop Hummels and Gundogan from leaving, because players these days want to win trophies, and they want to do so now. If that means leaving to go to a bigger club that have the squad and money to give them what they crave, then so be it.

If you're a football fan who values competition and enjoys seeing compelling title duels, you would be as pissed off as me as to what is happening to Dortmund. This will continue to kill the Bundesliga as league worth watching with regards to a title challenge. You'll still find good players and really nice football played, but how much fun can it be when you already know who will win the league before a ball has been kicked?
